Terms of Service

Welcome to Currents, an application provided by Wave Labs LLC. By using Currents, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Currents connects to a Plex account and a viewer-owned or viewer-authorized Plex library to generate personalized television-style channels on Apple TV. Currents provides no media content of its own. You are responsible for your Plex account, server, network, and media, and for having permission to access and play that media. Currents is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Plex, Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or use Currents under a parent or guardian's supervision through Apple's family features. You are responsible for how Currents is used on your devices.

3. Subscriptions and Free Trials

Currents offers monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple. Both plans unlock the entire application. If Apple shows that you are eligible for a free trial, billing begins when that trial ends unless you cancel before conversion. The price and renewal period shown by the App Store at purchase are authoritative; prices may vary by region and may change with notice given through the App Store.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when Apple confirms the transaction. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can review, change, or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Currents does not cancel a subscription. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; refund requests go to Apple, not to Wave Labs.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use Currents only for lawful, personal use with media you are authorized to access. You may not interfere with the service, attempt to bypass Apple's purchase system, abuse the support or feedback channels, or use Currents to violate another party's rights. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer Currents except where the law allows it despite this term.

5. Local Setup and Availability

Currents preserves its local Plex connection information, generated lineup, channel order, renames, enabled state, and preferences on your Apple TV, including when subscription access ends. Playback and other app features require an active entitlement. Currents depends on services outside Wave Labs LLC's control, including Plex, the App Store, your server, your network, and your device, and their availability is not guaranteed.

6. Intellectual Property and Feedback

Currents, its interface, branding, and original software are owned by Wave Labs LLC and protected by applicable law. Your media remains yours. Third-party names, artwork, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. If you send Wave Labs ideas or suggestions, including on the public feedback board, Wave Labs may use them without restriction or obligation to you.

7. The App Store

Currents is licensed to you, not sold. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your download of the app, and these terms supplement it. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Currents and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

8. Disclaimer

Currents is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. Wave Labs LLC does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Wave Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the application, and its total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Currents through the App Store in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Where the law does not allow these limits, they apply to the fullest extent it does allow.

10. Termination

You can stop using Currents at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. Wave Labs may suspend or end your access to the application for a material violation of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations, survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If the law where you live grants you mandatory consumer protections, those protections are unaffected by this section.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as Currents changes. Updated terms will be made available with the application or on this website before they take effect where required. Continuing to use Currents after they take effect means you accept them.
