For Apple TV · Built on your own Plex server

Your library, already playing.

Currents turns the movies and shows on your Plex server into real television channels, with a program guide, a now-line, and nothing to decide. Turn it on and something is already on.

Tonight

A working demo, not a screenshot: it runs the app's actual scheduling rule: fixed epochs and the clock. Hover to browse, click to change channels, and come back in an hour to find you've missed things.

The guide scrolls sideways. Give it a swipe.

The kinds of channels a library turns into

The idea

The part television got right

A wall of posters asks you a question every single night. Cable never did. You sat down, something was on, and the only decision left was how long to stay.

Currents puts that back. Your library is dealt into channels ahead of time and simply runs, whether or not the Apple TV is on.

It's genuinely live

Close the app at 8:00 and come back at 8:47, and you land 47 minutes into the schedule, not back at the start. There is no pause, no rewind, and no resume position. Time passes whether you're watching or not.

The schedule keeps its word

Once the guide has shown you that a program airs at 9:30, it airs at 9:30. Adding media to your library extends the schedule ahead. It never reshuffles airtime you were already promised.

Currents is coming soon

It's finished and in testing on real Apple TVs. Say hello if you'd like to know the moment it's on the App Store.
